Bounty Hunters = Bounty Money

Have you ever tried walking around in Bounty Hunters, in search for some kills, but ended up being killed? Have you ever wanted to know what it takes to become a true bounty hunters? What it takes to make MILLIONS of gp from bounty hunter? Well look no further, because you have just stumbled about Bounty Hunters = Bounty Money, your one stop guide on learning how to make MILLIONS in Bounty Hunters!

1. How to Become Good a Bounty Hunter

Now that you've seen just how much bounty hunters are capable of making, you might have considered becoming one yourself, so you too could make your own millions.

Well, in order to become one, you first need the proper stats:

Combat Level: 55-100. You want to maintain your combat level in between here because you don't want to be in the lower level crater where there isn't much people with rune to be killing, and you don't want to be in the high level crater where people are too smart to be killed. So keep your combat level between 55-100.
Range Level: 70+. If you have seen the PKers in the videos above, you have seen that they used a lot of range, and THEN switch to an Rune 2 Hander to finish off their opponents (a method that will be discussed later). So range is crucial to getting your opponent's initial HP down, and that's why you should strive for at least 70 range.
Strength Level: 75+. Most of the kills you have seen in the videos above are finished off by a blow with the Rune 2 Hander (a method that will be discussed later on in this guide). In order to make good use of the Rune 2 Hander kill finisher, you must have a good strength level in order to deal the heavy blows that your enemies won't suspect.
Attack Level: 40+. You need your attack level at minimum to be level 40, so you can wield Rune Weapons, but its recommended that you make it higher so you can have better accuracy.
Defense Level: 40+. Defense should be kept at level 40 so you can wear Rune Armor. With the enemies you'll encounter, some of them might hit very high. If you have Rune Armor, that will lower the need for you to keep eating and eating. And if you keep eating and eating because you have bad armor, you won't be able to hit your enemy. If you can't hit your enemy, you cant kill your enemy. If you can't kill your enemy, you can't get the armor they drop. If you cant get the armor your enemy drops, you don't have anything to sell at the Grand Exchange, meaning... you can't get any money. SO GET DEFENCE TO 40!
Prayer Level: 43. Prayer level is good to have, because first of all it allows you to activate your Strength and Attack prayers, giving you a better chance of finishing your opponent off with the Rune 2 Hander blow. Also, if you get it to 43, then say your opponent activates a protect from range or melee prayer. If you activate yours as well, chances are, he will end up dis activating his, and you yours. This will lead to a more damaging fight, giving you a better chance to finish off your opponent.
Magic Level: 31. You should have your magic at 31 for the Bounty Locate Spell. You DO NOT want to walk around looking for your bounty target. Just get this spell and be instantly teleported to him/her.

2. The Right Stuff

Alright, so you have your stats. Now what? Is it time to charge into Bounty Hunters yet? Sure, go ahead if you want to run in there with nothing and get pwned withing a minute. Stats are the most important part to making a good bounty hunter, but you also need the equipment that will make you ownage with the stats you have. To do so, make sure your bank has at least these following things before going on Bounty Hunter trips:

Rune Chain

Rune 2 Hander
Rune Full Helmet
Maple Short Bow
Amulet of Power

200+ Addy Arrows
Green Dragon Hide Chaps
Green Dragon Hide Vambraces
Combat Boots
100+ Sword Fishes (or lobsters)
10+ Strength Potions
30+ Sets of Locate Bounty Spells
You never know how long you might be at Bounty Hunters before getting a kill, so its best to pack your materials before you leave to go to the wildy. Otherwise you're going to have to go all the way back to varrok and buy your supplies at the Grand Exchange (unless you can find someone selling it at the Bounty Hunters bank).

Now, you, before you walk in, here is what your inventory and your body equipment should look like:

Inventory:

3 Sets of Locate Bounty Spell (3 airs, 3 fires, 3 laws)
23 Sword Fish (or lobbies if you are willing to risk your health)
Equipped:

Green D'hide Chaps
Green D'hide Vambs
Combat Boots

3. Getting Into Battle

As soon as you enter, you'll notice that you have a Bounty Target on the top right hand of your game screen. Before teleporting to your Target, you might want to consider these two things: Is he going to be a combat level I can handle? and Does he have a low combat, but has a 99 strength with which you can hit 33's on me? This two things are to be considered before you teleport to your target, so it helps to quickly look up your target on the high scores list to make sure he is something you can handle.

If you can handle your target, go teleport to your target. If you can't handle your target (and he honest with yourself), then you can hang around until you get a new target, or exit the crater and re enter for a new, more manageable target.

Try to take a sip of your Strength Potion BEFORE you teleport to your target, that way you don't have to waste a fighting blow by sipping a strength pot.

4. Battling Your Opponent

After watching countless youtube videos of the pros battling, I decided to try it out for myself. I finally figured out the method that makes them so good. Here's a step by step method on how to take down your opponent:

Start off by asking your opponent if they would care to have a no armor fight with you.
If so, excellent. If not, thats fine too (you'll find out why in a second).
First you want to fire arrows at your opponent using the rapid mode.
Let them go down in their HP, and keep going with firing arrows.
If they safe (meaning they eat too frequently), like before they reach 1/3 HP, then call them a safer and warn them that you'll leave if they don't stop safing.
Once you've gotten them down to 1/3 HP for the SECOND TIME, open up your prayer menu and activate the Ultimate Strength and Incredible Reflexes prayers.

This time, when they are going to go down to 1/3 HP, you will pull out a Rune 2 Hander, and here's how it works:
As you are shooting arrows, wait until you think you are about to shoot the arrow that will put them at 1/3 HP.
As soon as that arrow comes out of your bow, you have to swiftly switch to your Rune 2 Hander, and attack your opponent.
With luck, your arrow might have dealt maybe 10 HP of Damage, but with 75+ Strength, you could deliver blows of 25 dmg using Rune 2 Hander.

So you might hit basically 35 damage real quickly! That should be able to take out anyone with 1/3 HP left, even if they have a 99 HP level.
Observe the two videos shown at the beginning of this guide to see this Range/R2H combo in action.
If you opponent still isn't dead, just repeat the process, except this time, don't wait twice before whipping out your Rune 2 Hander, because your opponent already knows you have one.

If your opponent IS dead, then CONGRATULATIONS! You have just killed your opponent, and hopefully you picked to fight an opponent who had things worth killing for (like rune armor). Now you can sell his armor and the grand exchange any time to make thousands of GP. Then you can kill more and make GP of them too! Eventually you'll end up with a few million GP in your bank from killing people at bounty hunters and selling off the loot you get at the Grand Exchange.

Expired Method

This is the "old" method that no longer works due to the "Infinite Item" stock in the shops (remember, we have discovered a "new" method that still works, as stated above). Yes, its no joke! We know a method that makes 5M-10M in 10 minutes, and its the same method that the other guides that ask you to pay have on their guide. Well, the method is pretty simple, but it also has to deal with some luck, meaning you can't always do this, and we'll explain why in a bit.

Have you ever been playing Runescape when all of a sudden a message appears in your text-box saying Runescape will be Updating or will have Performance Maintenance in the game? Well, this update is your key to getting RICH!

As soon as you see there will be an update or performance maintenance, make sure your account is waiting at a Magic Rune Shop (preferably the one at Port Sarim) in a less populated world. So you can already see, an update or performance maintenance needs to take place in order for you to do this method, so you can't always do this method. Make sure the account is armed with a lot of money, like a few hundred thousand GP. Once you are there log out, and then back in (after the update).

Then when you trade the Shop Owner, you should see that there is 5,000 of each Rune! Why? well, this is because whenever Runescape finishes an update, all the shops in Runescape will have their items stock reset to 5,000! This makes all the items cheaper because theres so many of them in the Shop. Now your mission is to buy AS MANY of the higher priced Runes as possible. This means go for the Chaos and Deaths. Buy as many of them as possible. As long as you can buy the Runes for cheaper than they're worth on the Forums, you can make a HUGE profit! I spent about 3 Million buying Runes after one of these updates, and then I was able to sell those same Runes for over 10 Million GP on the Forums! And buying all those runes took just 10 minutes!

Its worth leaving what ever you are doing to head to the Runes Shop for this, because it only comes around every now and then. But when it does, you can be assured it will make you some fast and fat MILLIONS!

Making Money While Training Combat

A lot of players on Runescape not only want to be rich, but also, want to be tough, strong, have good combat skills. Well, not to worry. If you are looking to train, there are still some great ways you can make tons of money along the way! Here are some suggestions on what you can train for certain levels, and how you can make money by training on them at the same time!

1. Killing Men at Edgeville and Getting Their Bones (Level 3-25)

Men are ideal to train on at low levels because they only do a maximum of 1 damage, and have a pretty good ammount of EXP as well. Not only that, but the men in Edgeville (the ones in the barn) are situated very close to the Edgeville Bank (just north of it). This is good not only because you could get food from the bank if you wanted, but also, it serves as a good place to deposit your bones that you get from killing the men.

You may be wondering, why should I be getting the bones? Well my friend, those bones the men drop are worth 80gp EACH! With the introduction of the Grand Exchange, the prices for bones have spiked up because it serves as a cheaper alternative to the big bones for people who want to increase their prayer level. So you know that demand for the bones will never run out. All you do is kill the men, getting exp, and pick up the bones. Once your inventory is filled with bones, you just go south of the barn to the Edgeville Bank. Deposit all the bones and repeat the process.

Once you have enough bones (depends on how much you want to sell at a time), head on over to the Grand Exchange. Put up and offer to sell the bones and let the GE take care of the rest. Botta -bing-botta-boom! You now have gold! Lets take a look at how much gold we can expect:

100 Bones x 80ea (price to sell at) = 8,000GP Total from selling all the bones
500 Bones x 80ea = 40,000GP
1000 Bones x 80ea = 80,000GP!!

WOW! So not only are you getting TONS of experience for your combat levels, but you are also getting TONS of money!

Once you have reached a combat level of 25, you are ready to proceed to the next thing to train on.

2. Killing Giants Will Make You a Money Giant (Level 30-??)

Now that you are a bit stronger and hopefully have some good armor, or at least can kill fast, it is time to train on Giants. To get to where the Giants are, you need to have a Brass Key, then head over to this little roofed room west of Varrok, near the bridge from Varrok to Barbarian Village.

Once there, use the Brass Key with the door and climb down the ladder inside. Welcome to the Giants training Area.

Here you will find tons of Giants that you can train on. They are excellent combat exp, and they have good drops. But what you want to get from them is Big Bones that are worth a unlike anything compared to the last step. Giants drop Big Bones (always) and Limpwurt Roots (sometimes). The Big Bones are worth big bucks, at 380gp EACH! And Limpwurt Roots are worth even more, at 560gp EACH!!! Just getting an inventory full of them is worth good money.

Once you're inventory is filled with Big Bones and Limpwurt Roots, just head east to Varrok, bank the goods, and come back to resume your training/money-making. Then head on over to the Grand Exchange and turn your Limpwurt Roots and Big Bones intro BIG BUCKS (meaning tons of GP)!

Pro's of training here: Good exp, good money from Big Bones (380gp ea) and Limpwurt Roots (560 ea), and makes more money than the next step about Zombies.

Cons: Usually a busy place, so at times it may get annoying to find a giant to kill, and varrok bank isn't right next to the place.

3. The Zombie Graveyard (Level 50-??)

The Zombie Graveyard is a dangerous place located in the Wilderness. Luckily players can no longer attack you in the wilderness, so at least you are safe from them. But there's still the Rev. Ghosts that come out randomly and attack. Not only that, but its a multi zone, so 5 zombies that are level 18-24 can attack you all at once! Its a very dangerous place to be for low level players.

Why then, would this place be the next place to train? What would make this place so worth it? There are planks laying around there that are worth 200GP EA, thats what! There are a few planks laying around the floor of the Zombie Graveyard, and planks are always in demand by members who need to train their construction levels. So just keep training, and picking up the planks. Its a good training area too, because you can just leave your character there, and the zombies will automatically attack you, so its almost like auto training your combat. Just be careful, because its a multi-attack zone, and multiple zombies can attack you at once (thats why its suggest to be a higher level and have good armor). Once you are done picking up the planks, there's even a convenient place located to bank the planks right next to the Graveyard at the Bounty Hunters bank (just go west of the Graveyard to get to Bounty Hunters). Bank your planks there and repeat the process.

Once you have enough (depending on how much you want to sell, head on over to the Grand Exchange and sell at will. Lets see how much money you can really make out of these planks:

100 Bones x 200ea (price to sell at) = 20,000GP Total from selling all the bones
500 Bones x 200ea = 100,000GP
1000 Bones x 200ea = 200,000GP!!

Pro's of training here: Good exp, never busy, sometimes its like auto training, and bank is nearby to store items.

Cons: Risky because of Rev. Ghosts and planks are not worth as much as the big bones and limp roots the Giants drop.

Avoiding Common Scams

In your quest to become one of the wealthiest, richest, and most powerful players in Runescape, there will be many people that try to scam you for your hard earned money, and sometimes they might be able to get away with it. But now there is hope. This page is designed to inform you about common scams that you should watch out for to enjoy all the money you've worked so hard to earn. Arm yourself by reading about the following scams, so if you are faced by one of these scams, instead of crying that you lost your money, you will be laughing at the noob you just reported:

Trust Game:

Usually this one is done by a low level player claiming that they are giving away a lot of money or items. Then they will lead a large group of players to a certain place and claim that "The person who gives me the best thing will win (insert rare item here)". Most likely the scammer will have the rare item that they claim you will win with them. Then once someone gives the scammer an item, the scammer will say "So-and-so is in the lead for giving me an item worth this much", and basically you are suppose to keep giving items of more and more value if you want to win that rare item he told you about earlier. Well, after about 5 minutes ( or when everyone is out of things to give to the scammer who said whoever gives him the stuff worth the most wins the rare item) the scammer will simply log out. And along with him will dissapear all those items everyone gave him because they thought they could win that rare item if they gave him the best stuff.

Armour Trimming:

A player will come up to you claiming that they will trim your armor for free. Trimmed Armor comes from the prizes given in the member's mini-game Treasure Trails. No player can trim armor themselves, or have it trimmed by any NPC. The player might say they will take the armor to a members world and trim it for you. Once you give them your armor, you will never see it again.

Borrowing Money:

This scam might be done by even someone who you thought to be a close friend for a long time. They will tell you for whatever reason, they need to borrow money for you. A common one is that they claim someone is selling a Rare Item for cheap, and they can buy it if you let them borrow some money from you. They will promise that once they sell that rare, they will share the profit with you. But really, once you give them money to borrow, you will be dissapointed because not only will you not get that profit, but you will also never get the money back you let your so-called friend borrow.

Jagex Staff Impersonation:

A random person will message you saying that he is a member of the Jagex Staff. Usually they say that they are having a special day today and just for today they will make you a member for free if you give them your password. Jagex for no reason will ask you for your password in the game, or outside of the game. The truth is, this person messaging you is someone who is just trying to get access to your account and looking to take your items.

F2P Pure Mage Training Guide

Pure Mages are quite expensive to train, but they can prove to be devastating in the wilderness, and if you know how to use them by reading our Pure Mages = Pure Money section, they can make you Millions daily!

This guide will teach you exactly where to go, how to train, and what to train on, to make sure your pure mage reaches 59 magic in little to no time. It will show you what to do at what levels so you can get the best out of your training and money.

Before you begin, you wan't to make sure you have the best mage equipment in free-world before you begin your training. This way, your spells will be more effective, meaning you can train faster and save more money. You also can check how many runes/casts you need from a certain spell by checking out Tip.It's Magic Calculator.

Level 1-9

Start off at the cowbarn at Varrok. Equip your Air Staff and cast Air Strike. Continue to cast Air Strikes on cows until you reach level 9 (apporximately 130 Air Strikes). Once you hit Level 9 magic, you are able to use Earth Strike.

Level 9-29

Having Earth Strike, equip your Earth Staff. You will be using Earth Strike to get to level 29, because it basically gives the same experience as Fire Strike, but you save 1 Air Runes every spell. And the price for those Air Runes can really up considering how many strikes you will need to cast. Now head to the Varrok Sewers. Follow the picture below to your training area.

There will be two steel fences and a space in between. Go through that space in between and begin casting Earth Strike on the Rats. The rats wont be able to get you because you will be behind the safety of the gates. Keep doing this until you reach 29 Magic (approximately 714 Earth Strikes).

Level 29-41

Alright, now you have Earth Bolt! Now you can start using those Chaos Runes for your training. Luckily, you wont have to go far for your next training spot. See the map below for your next training spot.

Now Bolt away on the skeletons across the sewer's river until you reach 41 Magic.

Level 41-55

Now you have reached Air Blast! Your first Blast Spell. Since all you need to cast this spell is a Death Rune if you use an Air Staff, we will suggest you use this. Head over to the Wizard's Tower south of Draynor Village. Go to the 3rd floor of the tower and you will find a room with a caged lesser demon. Its good to train on this demon because you wont have to keep clicking on enemies to train.

This lesser has a good ammount of HP, so you just attack once, sit back, and watch the Blasting. Do this until you reach 55 Magic.

Level 55-59

This part is said to be very easy. All you do is place an item in your inventory where your level high alch spell would be when you open up your magic menu. That way, you can click on the High Alch spell, then just click again without having to move the mouse to cast the spell. It makes everything a whole lot easier. Its a good idea to buy a lot of items for cheap and Alch them all together instead of alching, then stopping to buy items to alch, then alching, then stopping again, etc. etc.

Keep doing this and before you know it, you will reach 59 Magic and be ready to make Millions by following our method of Pure Mage = Pure Money!

Pure Mages = Pure Money

Have you ever been wandering around the wilderness and seen a Mage going back to the bank after he had just acquired a yule tide haul from killing a Full Runer? They can do this about 5-7 times a day and make MILLIONS daily! This is actually common for mages because they have the upper hand against Full Runers. But thats not the whole story! The trick to being able to acquire Full Rune kills comes not from searching around for your prey in the wilderness, but taking him into the wilderness with you from the start.

We would like you to give your attention to this video for a little glimpse of what the method you are about to learn holds in store for you DAILY:

The time this video was shot, the PKer (who is the PK specialist in the Runescape Millionaires Guide team) made 1M+, and that was his pking from one day! This section will teach you how you can turn a Pure Mage into a Money Making Machine! Before you start off, we suggest you have at least 1M, or a lot of runes, as you will be needing to train magic level to 59.

1. Create a Pure Mage

The first step is to creating an account that you will train only in magic. When first creating the account, choose a name that is not hostile. You don't want to make it obvious later to people that you may kill them, so try to have a name that has a possitive effect on people's mind. You definitely don't want to go with a names like: Ill Kill U or Lurer Kill2. These names will most likely scare away your potential victims (people who you will kill to acquire their good armor and sell it for big money). Warning: While on tutorial island, do not level up anything except for Magic.

2. Train Magic Level to Level 59

After getting past tutorial island, you want to start training on your magic level right away. Train only magic, nothing else. No range, no attack, no strength, and definitely not prayer of defence. The reason for this is because you want to keep your combat level as low as possible, that way your victims wont be scared to accompany you into the wilderness. But if you train the others stats mentioned above, it will increase your combat level, making you more intimidating to your victims, which increases the chances they will not accompany you into the wilderness. So focus on purely getting 59 magic, and if you get hitpoints along the way, thats okay. Click here for the guide that will teach you how to get to 59 magic quickly and efficiently.

3. Preparing the Bait

Once you have reached 59 Magic, your combat level should be around 40. This is perfect because most people around your combat level who are not pures like you will have only 30-35 HP. And with you being able to deal 16 damages with Fire Blast, you can take them out in 3 hits! What more, is that if your opponent is wearing Full Rune, you magic is even more effective! So now that you know how much damage you can do and how swiftly you can take out a player, lets talk about how you can trap them to going with you. You will need some good items. I would suggest 3-4 sets of Full Rune already in your inventory or at least 1M in real cash.

4. Attracting the Victims

Once you have those items or money mentioned above, you are ready to start finding some potential victims. Its best to look for them in Barbarian Village, as it houses many low level players with good armor like Rune. Go there and look for someone around your level but NOT exceeding level 55 (once players are over level 55, or near level 55, they tend to know what you are doing, plus they are really powerful compared to you if your combat is only 40). Once you have found someone, follow him and say something like "Hey would you like to join a clan? We get tons of money from PKing as a team in the wildy. We make around (100k-200k) an hour! *TRADE THEM AND SHOW THEM YOUR ARMOR SETS/MONEY* Add me and follow and I will consider letting you in the clan." You can make a similar one, just as long as it gets your victim interested in joining a clan that you're pretending you have. Once the victim has started to follow you, get to know the victim and ask the victim questions like "Oh, whats your blah blah blah level? Oh kool, mine is blah blah blah." By doing this, you are showing your victim that you take interest in him, and your victim will slowly gain some trust.

5. Preparing for the Fun

Take the victim to edgeville and deposit the good items yo used for bait that you showed your victim in the trade. Now get ready to take out some killing gear. Have the following equipped on you:

Blue Wizard's Hat - Best Magic Equip Bonus hat in free-world

Amulet Of Magic - Gives +10 Magic Equipment Bonus, a must have

Wizard's Robes (blue) - Best Magic Equip Bonus Top in free-world

Priest Bottom - Best Defence Bonus Robe Bottom in free-world

Staff Of Fire - Needed for Fire-Blast and gives a good Magic Equip Bonus.

Leather Boots - Gives Def. Bonus without lowering Magic Bonus

Gloves - Gives Def. Bonus without lowering Magic Bonus

Cape (any) - Gives Def. Bonus without lowering Magic Bonus

Anti Dragon Shield - Gives Def. Bonus without lowering Magic Bonus

Have the following items in your inventory:

50 x Death Rune - for Fire Blast
203 x Air Rune - for Fire Blast (and 3 extra for Varrock Teleport)
1 x Law Rune - for Varrock Teleport
30 x Nature Rune - for Bind
45 x Earth Rune Rune - for Bind
45 x Water Rune - for Bind
16 x Lobster - You need food

But dont fill up your inventory. That way you will weigh less, giving you more energy for running if you need to chase your heavy armor wielding victim. Plus, you wont need to eat too much food because either A. Your victim will be dead from your strong blasts before he can do any real damage or B. Your victim will be too scared running away from you to even attack you. That is, if you picked a victim under level 55 as suggest above.

Tell the victim "We are going on a test drive to see if you are worthy or not to join the clan. If I see you are worthy, you can join. Then you can make tons of money like me."

If the victim insists on storing his Rune Armor or other valuable armor in the bank before going to the wilderness, STOP HIM FROM DOING THAT, tell him "No, you must bring your best armor so I know you trust me, and to show your courage. If you lose it, I can replace it! Didn't you see my sets of Rune Armor/Money? Trust me as your new leader, if you lose your armor with me around, I will fully replace it." But obviously, you wont replace his armor, because you will be the one to get it from him.

You also want to try to make him bring as little ammount of food as he possibly can, so say "We are only going out for a test drive to see your skills. You dont have to waste your food for this trip, we'll get some in the wildy." Be careful though, some people catch on to what you are doing once you say this.

6. Taking The Victim for a "Test Drive"

Basically at this point, you and your victim will enter the wilderness. You will tell him this is only a testdrive to see how he performs. To avoid other players from disturbing your plan, ask him to go with you to a less crowded world, "where there are less pros". You will want to go north-east of Edgeville and head to the Graveyard of Shadows a.k.a Zombie Graveyard (level 24 wilderness). Keep going north and walk around the Ruins (level 27 wilderness). Then keep going North until you hit level 45 wilderness where you will begin to see giant spiders. Now head east while staying along the lava until you see a Gate.

Do these things along the way:

While you are at about level 15 wilderness, tell him "Dont be scared to go above level 20 wilderness, just have the "Log Out" button ready. That way, if a strong opponent comes, we can just lot out. Thats how I never once died in the wilderness." That way he wont be scared that he cant tele once he goes over lvl 20 wilderness.

Then once you have reached level 25 wilderness, tell him "Do you know the secret to getting so many kills and making so much money? You have to be aggressive, you must attack an opponent as soon as you see him. That way you can get to killing right away, and increase your chance of killing and making the money." (Be sure to say this, as it will serve later on when you attempt to skull him yourself)

Along the way, tell him reassuring things like how we will make a ton of money soon. Or that 2 people is perfect for PKing because alone you are weak, and with 3 people you have to share with too many people. Things like that, just so the victim can relate to you, and trust you more.

Now head to where the action takes place. You want to go to the gate where the lessers are. Stop there and say "Lets camp here, i heard a lot of noobs come here alone. We can easily double team and kill them!" Just reassure and try to have casual conversations.

7. Skulling the Victim

Now that you are at the place where the killing will start, you want to make sure he first gets skulled. Obviously, no one will come to where you guys are waiting. So after a bit of waiting, say "While we wait, I want to test something. Dont follow me for a second and stand where you are. Then once I come by, pretend I'm an enemy." Most likely he will not attack you the first time, so follow him and remind him "Remember what I told you about being aggressive? How you should attack and enemy as soon as you see him? Thats how this clan is so successful. Ok, lets try again." Then you stand him up again by the gate, telling him not to follow, and once you come by, watch him attack. If he doesn't attack you, shout "Attack me once and then get off after one hit." If he still doesn't attack you, he probably won't ever attack you. But once he attacks you and is skulled, tell him to stop after the first hit.

8. Killing the Victim

Now that he is skulled, he will drop all his armor upon his death. Be sure to have "RUN" on, I can't tell you how many victims got away because I didnt have RUN activated. Have your spell set to Fire Blast. Have your spell menu open so you can get ready to bind incase he runs. Now what you want to do is find a good method to distract him while you deliver your first hits. Here are some tips to distract him:

Ask him what his attack, str, def, hp, mage, and prayer level is. While he is typing the answers, begin BLASTING!

Say "brb" then switch to another world. Tell him to come to the world that you're in. Once he logs in, attack him and he wont even know what hit him!

Once he is distracted, its just a matter of how much food he has. If he has no food, you wont even have to put up a chase. If he has a lot of food, he might just be able to run out of the wildy. So to ensure he is out/low on food, be sure to read the last paragraph of Step 5. If the victim still brung food along, tell him you are low on food and to let you borrow some. If worst comes to worst, you might have to chase him a bit to kill the victim.

Just remember that if you have to chase the victim, let the Fire Blasts come out automatically, and have your spell book open and click on "Bind" then once he starts running again, Click on the victim to bind him. Bind can mean the diffence of whether he gets away or you get the Booty!

9. Claimin' the Booty

Now that you killed him, pick up all the armor/valuables he dropped. Go to level 20 wilderness and teleport from there. While getting down to level 20 wilderness, its best that you take a route that doesnt include hot pking spots along the way, or PKers might attack you and claim the booty you just rightfully claimed. Another thing is to go to a less populated world once you picked up your stuff, that way there are less PKers to get you out there.

10. Why you CAN'T get reported

The best thing about this is that YOU CANNOT GET REPORTED! Thats right, you can't get in trouble for this. Even though this is an extremely evil thing to do, there is no way that you can get reported. When someone reports you, Jagex gets screenshots of activity from the last 60 seconds. So if you just killed a person, the report that Jagex gets is that you were killing a person in the wilderness, and thats doesn't break any rules. Once they are in the wilderness and someone kills them, its all fair game. There's no rule stating that you cannot trick people into skulling themselves. However cruel this method may seem, its 100% legal, and its 100% guaranteed to make you Millions!

So start training that Pure Mage now, and see how that Pure Mage can make you Pure Money!

What is a pure melee?

Pure Melee accounts in F2P are accounts that are generally low in combat level, and have ridiculously high strength levels. This stat build ensures that you can dish out optimal damage. And that ability to do high damages makes you good in PKing (player killing), will means you can kill people in the wilderness quite easily as a Pure Meleer and get piles of Rune Armor from PKing, which = PILES OF MONEY!

As you just saw, making a pure melee file means that you can own the wilderness without having to Lure like mages, and you can dish out some heavy damage, which means a big chance of killing your opponent and getting their valuable armor that can make you RICH!!!

This guide will give you tips on how to train and own the wilderness with your very own Rune Armor Piling Pure Melee!

I. Creating A Pure Melee

When you create a Pure Melee account, the first thing you do, such as the name, can make a big effect of what type of Melee PKer you want to be. There are two options:

Respectable Names - If you want to be respected in the PKing world
Newbie Names - Can lead to people underestimating you, giving you an advantage of

I personally prefer giving my PKer a newbie name like "pokemen2339" or "tinykid237", because then the people you are facing will underestimate your skill. That means you can whack them a few times with a Iron Scimitar, and they will think you're a noob because of your newbie name wont expect you to have 40 attack and 70 str. So then you can quickly whip out a Rune 2 Hander after doing some damage with an Iron Scimitar, and hit a 25 with the R2H and they're dead (as explained in a later section). So having a newbie name can give you a big advantage.

II. Goals For a Pure Melee File

Everyone Melee Pure file's main goal should be to dish out as much damage possible, while trying to keep the combat level low. That way, you wont have to face the higher level Rune wearing people who have super high defence thats hard to hit through. Instead, you can go up against the lower level people who still wear full rune, and you can hit high damage on them, I'm talking hitting damange in the mid 20's while having less than 60 combat level.

To do this, you must try to reach these goal levels for your Pure Melee account:

40 Attack
70 Strength
40 Range (for D Hide Chaps and Vambraces)
31 Prayer (Ultimate Stength Boost)
1 Defence
1 Magic

You dont want to exceed 40 Attack, because all you want to do is be able to wield Rune weapons. If you go over 40 attack, statistics show that your effectiveness at kill GREATLY decreases. Your defence should be left at one because its not going to help you hit higher, and it will raise your combat level, which means you will have to face the higher level people who have like 60 defence and are hard to hit.

Leveling range and prayer is up to you. Range level 40 makes training a whole lot easier, and it serves as good armor in PKing. Increasing range level wont raise your CB much since you will have already gained CB from Melee, so maybe a level increase from range, but its worth it in my opinion. Prayer is also an option, it serves as a shortcut to increasing your strength, and if you plan to stop training and just start making money from PKing, its a good idea to get 31 Prayer for Ultimate Strength (gives 15% stength boost = 15% more damage). You can either bury bones along the way if you are low on money, or you can learn how to make some money from the Runescape Millionaires Guide and just buy a bunch of big bones. Now you will learn how to reach these goals.

III. What You Need to Begin

To start on your path to making your new account a Pure Melee, get the following items onto your Pure Melee file:

Full Iron Armor
The Scimitars from Iron to Rune (Black is optional, because it takes too much time to find someone selling one)
Strength Amulet
1k-2k Trouts for training
2K Iron Arrows and all bows (optional step - this is to get 40 range so you can wear Green D Hide chaps and vambs, making training a LOT easier!)
Green D Hide Chaps and Vambs (for defence when training)
Finish Stronghold Quest and get Stronghold Boots

Now that you have your gear from training, get ready to start leveling up. The goal to reach is 40 attack and 70 strength before you begin PKing.

1. 1-8 Attack

Start off at Varrok, and hit the dummies until you reach an attack level of 8.

2. 8-20 Attack

Slap on your Iron Full, Str Amulet, SS Boots, and your scimitar(s). Now head on over to the cows near the crafting guild, taking with you trouts, or you can just cook the meat the cows drop, in which case you will need to bring along an axe and a tinderbox.

3. 1-40 Strength

Now, many people claim that getting both 40 attack and 40 strength on cows is the best idea, but since the release of the Stronghold of Security, its been found that training on the level 11 and 13 Goblins inside SS gives you more exp. per hour. So for optimal training, head on over to the lvl 11 goblins at SS. Try to bring trouts so you can stay down there longer. This part of the training is enjoyable, because you get to see yourself hitting higher and higher.

4. 20-40 Attack

Alright, now that you can hit higher than you use to on those cows at the begining, you can hope to get to 40 attack and wielding rune a lot quicker. Wear the same stuff from the last step, except change your scimitar to Mithril. Now head on back to the Golbins in SS, except this time, train on the level 13 goblins. Once your done, congratulations! You can now wield Rune weapons!

5. 1-40 Range (optional)

This step is optional, but I would HIGHLY recommend all Pure Meleers to have this. If you get 40 Range, then you can wear Green Dragon Hide Chaps and Vambraces. Increasing range while already having 40 attack and 40 strength will barely affect your combat level, if so, maybe by one level. Its a lot better than training defence which will increase your combat level by a lot, and remember, we are trying to keep our combat level low.

6. 40-70 Strength

Ah, you have finally reached the last step of your training. Well, I have good news for you. For this step, you finally dont have to click everytime you want to attack an enemy, these enemies attack your character for you! Now, this may sound bad, but not with the enemies you'll be training on. You will be facing Flesh Crawlers, and guess what their max damage is? 1 DAMAGE is their max hit! And they have a good ammount of HP, so you can train on each for a while without having to switch. These Fresh Crawlers can be found on the second floor of the Stronghold of Security on the south-east room. I would recommend you finish the SS minigame, that way everytime you want to go to the 2nd floor, you can just use the teleporter instead of having to go through all of the first level of the stronghold maze.

Wear Dragon Hide Chaps and Vambs (if you can wear them), the rest wear iron armor, your Rune Scimitar, Str. Ammy, and SS Boots. Bring 2-3 Str Pots and the rest of your inventory, fill up with lobsters (yes a bit on the pricy side, but its the best for your training). Pot up, and when your sip of str pot has just about run out with maybe only +2 strength bonus, take another sip of str pot.

These fresh crawlers will stop their auto attacking after 15 minutes, so if you want to restart their auto attacking, just go north until there is a "loading - please wait" on your screen, then just run back to the flesh crawlers to continue your training.

Now just sit back and let the fresh crawlers get you to 70 strength, once you are done, you are ready to learn how to PK and make some Millions! Read the PKing guide (coming soon).

400K - 1M

"Moooo"vin On Up! (400k-1M)

Your first million is just around the corner! If you work quick enough, you can get your first million in just a few hours! How? By using this ultra-secret method that the pros are trying to keep hidden.

First things first. To begin, make sure you have at least 400K, or else please go back to the previous section. With that being said, slap on some sun screen because we're heading to the desert city of Al Kharid!

To enter Al Kharid you need to have 15gp with you, which you will pay as the toll on the front gate which is located East of Lumbridge Castle. Once you have passed the gate, head south until you come upon a small desert city that has a bank.

What profits could be made in a hot and dry city like this? Well, read on and prepare to drop your jaw at the next profits table.

Tanning That Hide

Getting to your first million will be a breeze with this little known method. Basically what you do it buy cowhides, tan them into hard leather, then sell the hard leather at a profit. Its pretty simple, but pay attention to the following details.

Once the 4K Cowhides are bought, the process to convert the hides to your first million is on its way. To start off, head to the Al Kharid bank and withdraw a few thousand GP and 27 Cowhides.

Head North of the bank to the tanner.

Find the Tanner named Ellis and trade him. Right Have him tan all 27 Cowhides into Hard Leather for you. He will charge a few gp for each tan).

Do this until you have 4k Hard Leather . Guess what. Each Soft Leather you have is worth 150ea! Why is it worth so much? Well, it's used to create Coifs, one of the fastest ways to get crafting experience as a member. Members who need a high crafting level tend to not have the time to buy the cowhides and then tan them (which they don't realize takes a little while). Thats where they lose a lot of money and you make a lot of money! There are EXTREME PROFITS to be made here!!!

4000 Hard Leathers x 150gp ea = 600K

Then use that 600k to buy 6K cowhides. Repeat the process and...

6000 Hard Leathers x 150gpea = 900k! (close enough to 1M)

Crazy!!! And it all takes little to no time! You can even continue this to double that first million if you wanted to. As for selling the leathers, they sell like HOTCAKES on the Grand Exchange. search for buyers by searching "Buying Hard Leathers" under crafting in the Runescape Forums Search Engine. It's best to sell them during the weekend or in the morning, as that's the time most crafters decide to buy their materials to keep crafting for the rest of the week/day. Alternatively, you can look on the crafting section yourself and add anyone who has posted they will buy them. Then send them a message in the game and tell them to meet you to buy the leathers. Work for a while in that desert heat and watch that first million fall into your hands!

Expanding Your Business (5M-10M)

If you don't have a Business yet, read the previous section for help on starting one. If you have followed the steps from the last section and are now half way to going to double digit millions, then read on. By now your business should be slowly expanding and you should have a general idea of your Business Field and how much you can buy/sell the items in your field for. Plus you should have a few workers. In this section, we will focus on building on your already existing business so that you can get maximized profits.

To expand your business, you must have already set up the layout described in the last section. The best way to expand is by hiring more workers so you can get a higher supply daily, which will lead to higher sales daily, which leads to higher profits daily! In the last section you should have had 10 workers working for your Business. Now try to increase that amount slowly. Once you reach 20 workers, you will make double the profits you use to! You are receiving twice as much supply, so you have twice as many things to sell, meaning that you will make twice the profits that comes with selling twice the items! Look at it this way:

So clearly, the more workers you have, the more profits you generate daily! If you have twice the workers, then you make twice the profits in about the same time! If you are in the Ore Business Field and your 20 workers supply you with 20k Iron and 20K Coal Daily, then you will make 2.6M PURE PROFITS DAILY!!! Keep in mind that the workers are doing this for you, so you could set a time to buy from the workers at a set time during the day, meaning you could log in once and buy the supplies from your workers and then go sell and you're done. Also, while your workers are gathering your supplies you could make some money yourself by doing things mentioned in the previous sections. Don't be scared of having 0 GP left, as long as you have the items, and you can sell them for a profit, that money will come right back bringing more along with it!

Multimillionaire (2M-5m)

If you are reading this, you should already be considered a millionaire. Now lets take a step further and ascend to the next level called Multi-Millionaire. Being a mutli-millionaire means that you have many millions, and thats exactly what you will have after reading this section.

Its not as difficult as you may think. You just have to have some patience and tolerance in this section, bceause you will now have people working for you, and you must rely on them for you to bring in the money.

Now if you want, you can still continue the tanning method as described in Section "400k-1M" or flipping Cowhides as explained in the last section. But we recommend that you read this new section and the new method it holds:

Starting a Business

The time to start a business is now! Why now? Well by now, you have an idea of the runescape economy, an idea of customer/supplier relations, and because you have the proper ammount of money.

Basically how a Business works can be explained in 5 easy steps:

1. You choose a field you wish to go into (eg: Ores, Logs, Hides etc...)

2. Choose specific items in that field.

3. Hire workers to supply you with those items.

4. Decide on a fixed price to buy those items that your workers supply and store them in your bank.

5. Once you have a bulk of that item, search the forums for someone who will buy them for higher than what you paid your workers for them, which should be easy since you are paying your workers a small ammount.

Here is an example of a set-up business using the business layout above:

1. Ores

2. Iron and Coal

3. 10 Workers Hired. 5 Workers will get me Iron. 5 Workers will get me Coal.

4. I'll buy at Iron at 60 each, spending a total of 600k on Iron. I'll buy Coal at 130 each, spending a total of 1.3M on Coal. Total Spent together: 1.9M

5. Found buyer on forums. Sold 10K Iron Ores at 110ea, totaling to 1.1M. Sold 10k Coal Ores at 210ea Totaling to 2.1M. Total made - 3.2M! Profits: 1.2M!!!

As you can see, the previous business layout (which you can use), is a very profitable one. You can get Iron and Coal for those prices because miners who are focusing on their mining level and want some money also will think that 70ea or 120ea for Iron and Coal is a lot of money. The higher level players are always buying Iron and Coal in the forums since those are the main Ores used to level up Smithing fastest.

Lets talk about the business layout in more detail.

1. Business Field

The first thing you should think about before starting a business is what field to go into. Be sure to go into a field that provides a profitable gain. Hot fields of business are Ores, Hides/Leather, and Logs. Now you need to decide which items from that field your Business will specialize in. For the sake of better explaining, we will assume you are headed into the Ore Field.

2. Items to Deal

Once you have chosen your field, you need to consider what items in that field your business will specialize in supplying to the higher levels. You need to consider which items are in hot demand, easy to get a hold of, and can sell for a good profit. For example, if you choose to go into the Ores Field, Iron Ores and Coal Ores are good item picks because they are easy to get since they're the top picks for Miners training their mining levels and they are in hot demand since they are the basis of gaining high smithing levels, making them easy to sell. And most importantly, they generate EXTREME profits!

Similarly, regular logs and yew logs are good in the Logs Business Field because they are easy to get due to the players training woodcutting and easy to sell to members training fletching or just making arrows. So it's best to know what item is hot in each field if you want to have a business that brings in big profits.

3. Workers

In a Business, you are not expected to gather all the materials. You hire workers who get the items for you in large ammounts, and you sell them at a higher price and get profits at large ammounts. So the success of your business and the amount you make depends on how reliable and productive your workers are. At first hiring workers may sound difficult, but if you try, you can find workers very easily and quickly. Know where to look for your workers. For workers to gather Ores, its best to go to the Al Kharid or Fallydor East Bank since there are Iron and Coal mines near. Start typing "Hiring workers, pays well, add me for details." Be friendly but firm with your workers. Be curtious to them, but set a minimum ammount they need to supply you with daily/weekly if they wish to keep their job. Otherwise your business will lose productivity (amount being bought and sold) and the rate at which you make profits will be drastically slowed down. Since you are just starting out your business its best that you not exceed 10 workers, because more might become difficult to manage this early on in your business.

4. Pay

Have a firm set price for your workers. Be sure that the price you buy the items they supply you with is below what you are selling the supplied items for. The best thing to do is give them a little more than the minimum street price for the item. For example, if the usual minimum amount people pay for Iron Ores is 50ea, pay your workers 60ea. This keeps them loyal to your business because they think they are making more than the street price. As long as you are happy with the profit you make, you can pay your workers and buy from them at whatever price you wish. Right now we recommend you buy Iron Ores at 60ea if they are being supplied by workers. Give them a bonus of 5k-10k once in a while and say something like "This is for your good work" to keep them motivated and loyal to your Business. It also helps to have a website where your workers can check pay, work that needs to be done, and times you will be most active to buy from them. Since you should have 2M if you are reading this section, you could for example, pay your workers 60ea for 10K Iron and 130ea for 10K Coal, which will cost 1.9M. Then sell it to someone who will buy the item in bulk. Since the workers are gathering the materials for you, you yourself could log in say once a week and you'd still make millions. You just log in that one day and buy what they gathered, and not have to log in again for the rest of the week! This depends on how reliable your workers are and if they will be on with the items when you tell them to. So really pick those workers wisely! Fire some if they're not being good! You could also do some of the methods stated in the previous sections while you wait for your workers to gather the supplies, and make even more money.

5. Selling Supply For BIG Profits!

Once your workers have sold you a lot of the items, say 10K of each, you are ready to sell them. As long as you sell the item for more than the low price you paid your workers, you can make a profit. To look for a buyer, go on the forums and search for "Buying *blank*" under the field your Business is in. Then you could PM them in the game and work out a price. So now say you have the 10K Iron and the 10K Coal you bought from your workers. You could sell 10K Iron Ores at 110ea, totaling to 1.1M. And you could sell the 10k Coal Ores at 210ea. Totaling to 2.1M. So in total you made 3.2M! Thats 1,100,000 GOLD in profits! Using that money you can keep buying more supplies from your workers and keep selling to buyers at a profit. You can experiment with any Field you wish and with any item you wish, but so far being in the Ore Business Field buying Iron and Coal is the fastest and easiest way to making millions. If you can make that same deal stated above another 2 times, then you end up with 5M and are ready to move on to the next section!

Doubling That First Million (1m-2m)

If this is the right section for you, then good on you! It means you have already had a taste of what being a millionaire means. Now lets take that million and double it!

You saw from that last section how easy it was buying all those cowhides, or if you are just starting the guide from here, be assured, it's easy.

If you thought that making that first million was easy, then prepare to be amazed at the speed you can double it! You can double your first million in 3-4 easy hours! Yes! You heard correctly. It will only take 3-4 easy hours to get that second million!

For this next method to getting 2M, you need to position yourself at the Al Kharid Bank door (explained in the last section). Here we go!

Flipping Cow Hides

Start off at the Al Kharid Bank on a busy world and keep typing "Buying all Cowhides 100ea!" Be very firm on your buying price this time, because you aren't tanning the hides.

You should have enough money to purcahse 10K Cowhides since you have 1M (Cowhides 100ea). Once you have 10K cowhides, it is considered by most people as bulk, meaning you have a lot of it. Once an item is in bulk, it could be sold for more. In the case of cowhides, once you have 10K they go for 150ea! Here is our trustly table to give you a better understanding:

The best thing is, buying 10K cowhides should only take around an hour if you type at a moderate speed! So thats 500K an hour (provided you have a buyer).

To find a buyer, search on the forums for "Buying Cowhides 150ea" under Crafting in the Runescape Forums Search Engine or a lot of times you may find at high level buyer on a busy world in Al Kharid.

Once you have sold your first batch of 10k Cowhides, you will be up to 1.5M! Now just buy another 10K Cowhides one more time. Once you bought second batch of 10K Cowhides, you should be left with 500K. Now sell this second batch of Cowhides at 150ea Again and you get another 1.5M! Add up the 1.5M you just made and the 500k left over... BAM 2 MILLION GOLD!!!

Now that was very fast compared to the first million, and lucky for your, things just keep picking up! If you didn't like this idea, or you just despise typing, you could continue the Tanning explained in the previous section. Here is the profits table if you wish to continue Tanning:

From here on in, you could make millions a week by just logging in once in that week! Read the next section to find out how!

Climbing the Ladder (100k-400k)

Whew! Now that you are past that first 100k, wipe off that sweat and relax! You have made it past the hardest part on your quest to becoming a Millionaire! Its all smooth sailing from here on in.

From this section and beyond, we will focus on making quick, smart, and profitable business deals. No more do you have to do manual labor by having to run other people's Rune Essence or walk around collecting feathers! The time for business is now!

In this section, you will learn a method to turn that first 100K and quadruple it to 400K! We will use the term "K" which stands for a thousand from now on because adding those extras zeros in the back is ridiculous. If you have at least 400K already, I would recommend you go on to the next section. If not, please continue reading on how you can QUADRUPLE your Gold!

For this section only, you yourself will buy things for low and sell them for high. This is called merchanting, and will be done yourself in this section only.

There is one thing ideal to Merchant with this amount of money, because of the amount the item is sold in, and the profit (money made from buying an item low, and selling it high). That thing is Iron Ores.

Making Soft Clay

You wouldn't think something so straight-forward and simple could generate such profits, but it can! This method is called Making Soft Clay. Whatever you may call it, make no mistake that it brings in large profits! The method is ideal for the amount of money you currently have.

To start off, proceed by heading to the Grand Exchange. If you already have 100 Clay Ores, then go to the next paragraph. Trade the Exchange Clerk and offer to buy 1000 Clay for 70-90 GP Ea. You should have some money left over, if not, its okay. Now that you have spent 100K, dont be scared, because once your are done with this method, you will quadrople that first 100K!

Now bank everything in your inventory and everything you have equippred to make the rest of the process easier. Withdraw only a bucket and 27 clay to your inventory. Head east from the grand exchange desk, until there is an opening between two walls. From there take a few steps south until you see two fountains. These fountains are your key to converting those clay into soft clay, or in other words, turning your clay into fathomless fortunes!

Use the bucket on the fountain to fill your bucket with water. Now use that bucket of water on a clay in your inventory, and viola: soft clay! Turn all the clay in your inventory into soft clay. Repeat this method until you have turned all 1000 clay in your bank into soft clay.

Now guess what... You have... 180K! worth of Soft Clay! The 1000 Soft Clay you have are worth 160-180 GP Ea! That means in total, they are worth 180K! That means you almost doubled what you just had! Now go to the Grand Exchange and sell all 1000 Clay for 160-180 GP Ea. Congratulations, you just made your first almost 200K!

You're not done just yet though. Remember, we are aiming for 400k in this section. So here's the game plan. Use that 180k and reinvest it into buying 2K clay at the Grand Exchange. Once you have the clay, turn them into soft clay using the method above. BAM! 400K! It's as easy as that! You have money to proceed to the next section!

If you're concerned with the ammount of time it will take to buy buy the ores and make/sell the Bronze Bars, perish the thought. It can all be done within a few hours easily! Turning 1k clay ores into soft clay took me about 50 minutes, and doing the same for 2k clay took me less than 2 hours! We recommend that you stick to this method to get to 400K, as the profits are phenomenal.

The Rich Get Richer (1gp – 100k)

Have you ever heard of the term “The Rich Get Richer”? Well, that term is the basis of this guide. The term simply means, to make a lot of money, you first have to have some money.

Now you may be wondering “What if I don’t have a lot of money to start with?” Well I can tell you right now, that’s not a problem.

In this section you will learn 3 main ways for you to make your first 100k, the first step on your road to making millions!

Here are briefly the 3 methods you will be using in this section:

1. Air Running

2. Feather Collecting

3. Rune Essence Mining

You can do one, or a combination of the methods stated above to make your first 100k. We would personally recomend just using the Air Running method as it is the fastest and easiest method to get to 100k. If for some reason it does not suit your tastes, you will find two alternative methods to make your first 100k. Here's the first method to get you on your way to millions:

1. Clay Mining

If you have never heard of Clay Mining before, then wait until you hear about the MASSIVE PAYOUT this method can bring you!

Clay Mining is ridiculously simple. All you have to do is have a pick axe. It doesn't matter if you just came off tutorial island, or if you're a seasoned Runescape player, this method is designed for anyone level Runescape player. Having a higher mining level definitely helps though.

Basically what you do in Clay Mining is:
You head to your local mine with clay in it, mine it, and sell the clay at the Grand Exchange! Sound simple right? Well thats because it is! And here's the best part: Each clay piece, which takes only a second to mine, and can be mined by any level miner, can be sold for 70-90 GP a piece!

Best place to do this:
You should only have a pickaxe equipped on you, and have nothing in your inventory and nothing else equipped but that pickaxe. Head on over to the mine south west of Varrok. There you will find a few rocks that contain Clay.

I'm there, now what?:
Now mine clay until your inventory is full. Each clay should take 1-3 seconds to mine depending on your mining level. If you have 20+ mining, you will get the clay as soon as you click on the rock. Mine the clay until you have filled your inventory up with clay. Now go north and head into the Grand Exchange or Varrok West bank and bank all of your clay pieces.

After the first batch:

Now that you finished banking your first inventory of clay, head back to the mine and repeat the previous step. Lets pull up the profits chart to see what ammount of clay will translate into what ammount of cha-ching!

Ammount of Clay x Price Each = Total Value

100 x 85 = 8500gp

500 x 85 = 42500gp

1200 x 85 = 100000+GP!!

Alright, so we see from the good 'ole profits chart there, once you have 1200 Clay, you will have 100,000GP+ if you go ahead and sell it at the Grand Exchange for 85 GP, which is a most value most people are willing to pay for Clay. Now, lets see how long this will all takke on our Time Table:

Ammount of Clay x Time Ming Each = Total Time Mining the Ammount

100 x 1-3 Seconds = 1.5 Minutes - 5 Minutes

500 x 1-3 Seconds = 8 Minutes - 25 Minutes

1200 x 1-3 Seconds = 20 Minutes - 60 Minutes

The Time Table above indicates that it will only take around 20 minutes to get done with all your mining needs to make you your first 100k! But you might need to add in the time it takes for the trips to bank the materials. Also, you can see how having mining that is above level 20 can greatly decrease the ammount of time it takes to mine the clay!

So once you have about 1,000 to 1,200 clay (which won't even take an hour) you are already up to 100k and ready to move on to the next section!

This would be the most recommended method as a way for you to make your first 100k, but if this doesnt seem to be the method you wish to use to make your first 100k, which you should be really sure about, then here are two other alternative methods to getting your first 100k...

2. Collecting Feathers

From reading the title, you must be thinking this is crazy. How can I make 100k from collecting feathers?!? The answer lies in the value and use of the feathers.

Members need feathers for a key part of their popular fletching skill, not to mention use it to catch fish. These feathers are so vital for raising those certain stats that they are willing to pay anywhere from 5gp-10gp EACH INDIVIDUAL feather!

Collecting feathers should be a breeze because:

A. You don't need to kill chickens to get them, often they are lying around because others don't realize their value.

B. Chickens are easy to kill!

C. They drop 5-15 feathers practically every time!

The key is to sell the feathers in bulk, meaning sell a lot of them at once. The more feathers you have, the more likely someone will buy and also pay more each feather. You can see from the table below, it'll take only 10k feathers to get you to your first 100k!

Once you reached 10k feathers, scout the fletching section of the forums for a buyer, or search the forums for "Buying feathers" in the fletching section. Now that you know the value of chicken feathers, go to the nearest chicken coop and pluck those feathers!

If this method doesn't seem like a good way for you to make your first 100k, there is still one last method we can offer for you...

3. Mining Rune Essence

Another great alternative to reaching that first 100k is to Mine Rune Essence. The only requirement for this completion of Rune Mysteries Quest and 15 mining. Yes, this procedure does require you to get a stat up, but we promise you, this method is the only method in which you will need to level any stat. Before you didn't need the mining level requirement, but a new update requires you to have level 15 mining. And since this is such a great method we will still include it, even though we said you wouldn't need to level anything up.

Once you have finished the quest and reached level 15 mining, grab any pickaxe and head to the Runes Shop located at the south east part of Varrok. Ask Aubry to teleport you. Now you are in the Rune Essence mine. To gather rune essence, all you do is click once on the Rune Essence supply and chill until your inventory fills itself up.

When you have a full inventory, head to the portal to exit. Now you are back at the Runes Shop. Head north to the Varrok East bank and deposit your Rune Essence. Go back to the Runes Shop and repeat the process until you have 3K Essence. And here's why 3K:

Rune Essence Mining is probably the most trivial of the three methods. But selling the Rune Essence is easy. Just go to a crowded world and let people know what you are selling at Varrok East Bank.

Proceed getting to 100k with any of the methods mentioned above. Once you are done...

Congratulations! You have made your first 100k! In getting this 100k, you have succesfully taken your first step to becoming a millionaire. To continue to the next section, click here.

If you're a member, then this first step will be a piece of cake. Members have the ability to do the 3 options that the F2P players can do (stated above), and also another two methods which work even faster to get to that first 100K!
